Seti River rafting is about 5 hours drive from Kathmandu and known as an Ideal two day trip. It takes about two days to complete 35 km of river action. The take out Point of Seti River trip at Gaighat and its approximately 4 to 5 hours drive from both Kathmandu and Pokhara. The Seti River is one of the warm and beautiful river which passes through stunning jungle scenery, green hills and valleys. The rapid aren’t very extreme and is suitable for family trips. The rivers are gentle throughout the year, and during monsoon months the intensity of the rapid increases and attracts a radically different set of rafters. Rafting on Seti River is a best opportunity for bird watching. The surrounding is beautiful and full of natural surprises. The river scenery is stunning and reflects the true beauty of our country. It is also considered the best place to practice Kayaking for beginners. The warm and welcoming Seti river is the best place to spend some time with family and friends.
Day 1: Drive to Damauli, and short rafting trip/ camping at Corridor of jungle near the riverbank. (Damauli-Saran Ghat)
Drive out of Kathmandu in the early morning to reach Damauli, the put in point. After short description and instruction, trip downs the Seti Begin. On this day encountering with local villagers, wildlife, bird watching is quite normal. After reaching Saran Ghat, this day trip ends. Building camp below the village on the beach and will be served with dinner.
Day 2: Corridor of jungle nears the river bank to Gaighat, rafting till 3pm and drive back to Kathmandu. (Saran Ghat- Gai Ghat)
Soon after breakfast on the second day, it is time to move down the river once again. On this day technical rapids of calss III need to be tackled. After the rapids, TriShuli River appears and until we reach the Gai-Ghat expedition goes down. After short sightseeing of the area, it’s time to load all those gears and back to Kathmandu or for next destination.
