5 Langtang Gosaikunda Trek:
Lake Gosaikunda (4,380 m) is a popular trekking destination. It is also the source of Trishuli River. Believed to have formed by Lord Shiva’s Trident in the Hindu mythology, the lake is a sacred place of pilgrimage for both Hindus and Buddhists. The lakeside is packed with thousands of pilgrims during the Janai Purnima festival, which usually falls during full moon in August.
