Bhairav Kunda Trek

Bhairav Kunda is one of the sacred pilgrimage for Hindu and Buddhists. Huge Fest is held in the Kunda, a bathing festival during the Janai Purnima festival. The Janai Purnima is a festival of changing the sacred thread called Janai. Pilgrims dip bath in the pond, offer Puja to ancestors and then change the thread. It lies at the altitude of 3985 m from the sea level, in the range of mountains. Janai Purnima, an August festival is the prime time to visit the place. The view is panoramic, the nature’s beauty there is mesmerizing and it is the home to numerous medicinal and rare herbs and shrubs. Rocks, barren lands, cliffs and meadows, pasture lands, mountain cows, yak, sheep all sums to the aura. Lakpa, Dorjee, Gaurishankhar, Ganesh, Jugals mountains and some escapes of China can be seen close up during the trek.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu
    Arrival at Kathmandu International airport and you will greet you by our company representative. You will transfer at the hotel. After relaxing few hours, you will be taken to old street and Kathmandu Durbar Square. At evening you will invited for a welcome dinner at our own restaurant. Overnight stay at Hotel.
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing
    After breakfast at Hotel start to visit Kathmandu valley, this day you will be taken to Swayambhunath (monkey temple), and Boudhanath with our local guide. Afternoon meeting with trekking guide, check the trekking gears. Overnight stay at Hotel.
  • Day 3 : Drive to Jalbire, Dhande (1015m)
    Drive to Jalbire, Dhande from Kathmandu. During our way crossing of several villages, landscapes, forest will add another dimension. Overnight at Guest House.
  • Day 4 : Trek to Pngtang Khani Gaun (2040m)
    After Breakfast you will continue trek to reach in Pngtang Khani Gaun. A diverse cultural village, Buddhist chortens and mani wall as well as scenic view of Ganesh, Gauri Shankhar will refresh you. Treks of 6-7hrs. You will be settled this night at Homestay. Home stay is another attraction to know culture, religion and villager life style.
  • Day 5 : Trek to Pang Terma Danda (1890m)
    Leaving the village after breakfast and our adventure treks continue crossing several villages and mesmerizing view of nature. This day you will rest in Pang Terma Danda, from where several Himalayan Range can be visible. A trek of 5-6hrs you will rest tonight in Tented Camp.
  • Day 6 : Trek to Chormu Kharka (3850m)
    Your trek goes on after breakfast, heading up the hill. Treks of 6-7 hrs lead to next station called Chormu Kharka. Kharka means, a place where the villagers used to guzzle their animals. Visitors can observe several kinds of rare Herbs and Shrubs, scenic view of Himalayas. During the way Buddhist Flags appear several time and Tibetan influence villages. After trek of 6-7hrs you will settle this night at Chormu Kharka in Tented Camp.
  • Day 7 : Trek to Bhairabkunda (4000m)
    Slowly and literally we continue trek for Bhairabkunda. This day you will walk for 3-4 hrs. Mesmerizing view of Ganesh, Gaurishankar, Yanri, Jugal and some of the beautiful parts of landscapes of china can be another attraction for you. Finally, you reach in your targeted destination BhairabKunda. Bhairabkunda a famous pilgrimage spot for Buddhist and Hindu people. Every year, several visitors observe the festival called Janaipurnima. During this festival Shamans are another attraction, they visit the place with their traditional customs and dance. Overnight stay at Tented Camp.
  • Day 8 : Trek to Sherpa Gaun (2600m)
    After exploration of Bhairabkunda you trek down to the hill. You will be taken to Sherpa Village this day. Sherpa Gaun is another different community which was not seen during this trek. Overnight stay at Sherpa Gaun where you can take an advantage of Homestay.
  • Day 9 : Trek to Duguna Gadi (1910m)
    Breakfast and short walk around Sherpa Gaun, finally it's time to leave this place. Villagers will fare well you with a smile and souvenirs. Down of hill crossing several villages and scenic beauty you will reach at Dugun Gadi (Duguna Fort). Duguna Gadi is a historically important place and exist at the edge of Bhotekoshi River. According to the historical facts, Nepalese armies used to manage all the securities and accommodations in this Gadi where there was a war between Nepal and Tibet during the reign of Rana Prime Minister Jung Badhaur Rana. Overnight stay at Home Stay.
  • Day 10 : Drive to Kathmandu
    After breakfast you will drive to Kathmandu with collecting memories of the trek. All those memories of Scienice Beauty, diverse cultural heritage, natural flora and fauna with rare Shrubs and Herbs. Overnight Stay at Hotel.
  • Day 11 : Free day at Kahtmandu
    This day is free day. You are free for shopping, walking as you wish. If you like to visit some place our team will guide you. The company will invite you for farewell dinner at our own restaurant. Overnight Stay at Hotel.
  • Day 12 : Departure for your Next Destination
    Representative of our company will drop you at International Airport, and best wishes for your next Destination.
