Classic Everest Trek

Classic Everest Trek

For those of us who want to experience the excitement of an expedition without the comparative hardship, this Everest Base Camp Trek is the perfect solution. Walk in the footsteps of past explorers, you might also be lucky enough to meet and interact with climbers on the way to lay their claim to the top of the world.
Starting from Jiri, we trek along the Dudh Koshi river valley to Namche Bazaar (3,440 m), where you can mingle with the locals and learn about Sherpa culture. Then it’s on to Kala Pathar (5,545 m) and the Everest Base Camp (5,364 m), our destination. Get an up close to Mt. Everest (Sagarmatha in Nepali and Chomolongma in Tibetan) and Khumbu Icefall.
This trek is not for the faint hearted due to the altitude and terrain. You have to be reasonably fit to attempt this trek, but it is a once in a lifetime trek for many people.
