Everest View Trek

One of the main attractions of this “Everest View trek” trek is the majestic view of Mt. Everest. Home to cheerful Sherpa, this trekking area permit you to witness some fantastic view of high mountain scenery on earth beyond your imagination. After flying to Lukla, this unique trek starts with full of excitement. Sherpa’s are popular for helping summiteers to climb Mt. Everest and other highest peaks as guides and porters and are very much familiar with western culture. For those who want more than just a scenic view of Himalaya, you can feel their Buddhist traditions and culture by visiting Namche Bazaar, the Sherpa Capital, and the rebuilt Tengboche monastery, with relics dating centuries back. You seem to experience that you are transported to the medieval age. From here it is possible to see Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam and of course, Everest-in all its glory. We walk via Khumjung, and Phakding for more mesmerizing mountain views. Finally we fly back to Kathmandu from Lukla.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu
    Our representative will greet you at Kathmandu (Tribhuvan International Airport) and transfer to your pre-reserved hotel. When you have had your time to settle in and freshen up after your long flight. After some refreshment you will invited for a visit to our office. At evening we will offer you for a welcome dinner at our own Restaurant.
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu Sightseeing
    The very next morning, after breakfast you will be taken for a full day sightseeing tour around Kathmandu valley. You can visit center of pilgrimage Pashupatinath Temple and Swyambhunath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square, a World Heritage site. This day we are finalizing further procedure about due amounts and all documents for issuing permit. Also, you will meet the guide and provide all the information and details about your trek. On the journey back to the hotel, you can explore the local areas, gullies and lifestyle. After your dinner, you can perhaps take leisurely stroll through the famous streets like Thamel and Durbarmarg.
  • Day 3 : Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding (2652m)
    In the Early morning we flight from Kathmandu to Lukla via mountain flight of about 40 minute scenic flight. With clear weather we get fantastic views of the mountains, including Everest as we enter the deep gorge of the Dudh Kosi valley. After Breakfast in Lukla we begin our trek from Lukla following a gentle climb up the mountainside on the left bank of the Dudh Koshi River, where you witness the typical Nepal terrace culture, slate roofed houses and views on Kusum Kangaru (5 579 m). We then take an easy walk for about two hours to Phakding village for the overnight stop at the Lodge.
  • Day 4 : Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m)
    From Phakding the trail follows the Dudh Koshi valley north, meandering through the pines, crossing it twice by small suspension bridges before reaching the village of Monjo the entrance gate of the Sagarmatha National Park. Beginning with a slight climb to Jhorsalle, the trail passes waterfalls and other culturally and naturally occurring items of interest. Villages are interspersed with magnificent forests of Rhododendron, Magnolia and fir. Along the way to you will be rewarded with your first glimpse of Kusum Kangru (6369m) Thamserku (6608m), Everest (8848m) and Nuptse (7879 m). A steep climb up to the beautiful village of Namche bazaar (3440m) will afford you further spectacular views and a comfortable place to spend the second night of the trek.
  • Day 5 : Rest day at Namche Bazaar
    Rest day in Namche. Optional walk to the Sherwi Khangba Sherpa Culture Museum or dayhike to the Hotel Everest View in Khumjung village (3 700 m) and Khundi Hospital in Khundi Village, the first hospital build in the Khumbu Region by Sir Edmund Hillary and Himalayan Trust in 1966. Overnight stay at the Lodge in Namche Bazaar.
  • Day 6 : Trek to Tengboche (3870m)
    Next morning after breakfast we continue our trek with pleasant walk through the forest with magnificent view of mountains. We follow a spectacular path that traverses around the hillside high above the Dudh Kosi River. The trail climbs past some water-powered prayer wheels and begins a sustained climb through a forest of tall, mature rhododendrons. The start of the Tengboche (3870m), the village is scattered across a wide, grassy saddle below a crescent-shaped ridge covered by scrub pines and firs. From the view point at the top of the hill, there are awe-inspiring views of distinctive peaks like Amadablam (6856m), standing proud of the massif containing Everest (8848m), Nuptse (7861m), Lhotse (8501m) and inspiring views of Himalayan giants. We visit the Buddhist Monastery at Tengboche, the largest in Khumbu region. Overnight at the Lodge.
  • Day 7 : Trek to Khumjung
    We walk down to the river, then start hiking up to Khumjung village. Many trekkers enjoy like this Khumjung village as there is a very beautiful community of Sherpas.
  • Day 8 : Trek to Phadking (2652)
    Trek down to Namche, a color full center of Sherpa community, after that continue the trek down to Phakding.
  • Day 9 : Trek to Lukla (2850m)
    The track descends steeply downward so you need to walk slowly and under control as our shaky legs continuously battle the rocky terrain. Up and down the hill and snap a mixture of pines, rhododendron, pine forest, snow covered peaks are amazing. The trail goes on through the Sherpa village where Buddhism influences can be seen wider by prayer flags. Arriving in Lukla, just collecting memory of treks. Overnight will be final night in Khumbu Region.
  • Day 10 : Fly back to Kathmandu
    We fly back to Kathmandu after our adventurous trek. The early morning flight drops us in Kathmandu. After relaxing couple of hours we provide a private guide for sightseeing around the valley as your interest. After late noon you were free for shopping around the local market. At the evening time you will be invited for farewell dinner in our Restaurant and we share the remarkable experiences of Sherpa land. Overnight stay at hotel.
  • Day 11 : Transfer to the airport
    Today, according to your flight schedule our representative will drop you back at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu (TIA).
