Langtang Valley Trek

Despite being very close to Kathmandu, the Langtang valley is wild and tranquil rural landscape ideal for a pleasant trek. Langtang valley trekking is one of the frequently visited trekking destinations in Nepal. Langtang Trek is the third most popular trekking destination in Nepal after Everest Region Trekking and Annapurna Area Trekking. Langtang is also one of the shortest but the most beautiful and stunning trekking in the country. Langtang valley also called to be the valley of glaciers. The valley offers you stunning views of numerous of mountains located in Langtang region.
Langtang valley trekking takes you to the remote and spectacular valleys along with the high mountain lake, like Gosainkunda, Bhairab Kunda, as well as mountains like Ganesh, Manaslu and Himalchuli along with the beautiful mountain valley Helambu. Langtang valley is sandwiched between two main Himalayan ranges, the Langtang Lirung (7246m) which lies to the north and Gang Chhenpo (6388m) and Naya Kang (5846m) these lie to the south while Dorje Lakpa (6966m) at the East of the Valley. Thus, while trekking in Langtang valley, you will be able to explore the majestic Himalaya primarily lies around the Langtang region. The trail takes you through the forests and along with the Sherpa and Tamang indigenous peoples settlement, terraced farmlands, through rocky and sloppy hills along the classic route, this very route is considered to have been the trading route to Tibet and still many people are involved in the similar trade with Tibet.
Langtang valley trekking is protected by Langtang National park, which is a home to various endangered animals, birds and flora and fauna. Therefore, while trekking to Langtang valley, you will also be able to explore the endangered species of birds and animals, including varieties of flowering plants, flora, and faunas. Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrive in Kathmandu
    Arrival at Tribhuvan International airport and our company representative will assist you and drive to the hotel. After relaxing few hour our guide will pick up you for a short walk and you will reach at Kathmandu Durbar Square. After a short walk of Square, we will take you for welcome dinner in our won restaurant. O/n at Hotel.
  • Day 2 : Free Day/ Kathmandu Sightseeing
    After breakfast at Hotel start to visit Kathmandu valley, this day you will be taken to Swayambhunath (monkey temple), and Boudhanath with our local guide. Afternoon meeting with trekking guide, check the trekking gears. O/n at Hotel.
  • Day 3 : Kathmandu to Syabrubesi (2100m)
    After breakfast at Hotel start to visit Kathmandu valley, this day you will be taken to Swayambhunath (monkey temple), and Boudhanath with our local guide. Afternoon meeting with trekking guide, check the trekking gears. O/n at Hotel.
  • Day 4 : Trek to Lama Hotel (2410m)
    Descending down the ridge past fields, houses and through a forest reaches Ghopche stream. After crossing a bridge mountain path leads to ridge snout. From there descends a steep forest slope to the Langtang river then enters a forest with a gentle ascends gradually gains altitude. After that climbing a steep and comes Lama Hotel (2380m). Walking time takes about 6 hours. O/n at Tea House Lodge.
  • Day 5 : Trek to Langtang (333om)
    To reach Langtang from Lama Hotel takes nearly 5 hours steep along Rhododendron and oak forest, overnight at Langtang (3500m). O/n at Tea House Lodge.
  • Day 6 : Trek to Kyanjin Gompa (3730m)
    The trail crosses through the stone built village and climbs to Chorten then passes through a Hugemani along a soft trail to Kyanjin Gompa. Walking time takes about 4 hours. O/n at Tea House Lodge.
  • Day 7 : Trek to Langshisha Kharka (4080m) & back to Kyanjin Gompa
    An extra day continues further up Kyanjin Gompa to Langshisha Kharka (4,080m) for checking the mountain views of Langtang Lirung (7,246m), Langshisha RI (6310m), and gang Chhenpo (6,388m) Urkeinmang (6150m), Penthankarpo RI (6830m) and so on. Same day from Langshisha backs to Kyanjin Gompa for over night. Walking time takes about 6 hours for going and coming. O/n at Tea House Lodge.
  • Day 8 : Trek to Tsergo Ri & back to Kyajin Gompa
    An extra another day continues further up to next peak Tsergo RI for observing very close mountain views and back to Kyanjin Gompa for overnight. Walking time takes about 7 hours for going and coming. O/n at Tea House Lodge.
  • Day 9 : Trek to Lama Hotel (2410m)
    From Kyanjin Gompa, return to Lama Hotel through the same way. Walking time takes about 7 hours. The trail leads all most flat and downhill. O/n at Tea House Lodge.
  • Day 10 : Trek to Syabrubesi (1460m)
    From Lama Hotel to Syabrubesi trail leads through the Langtang River almost downhill. Walking time takes about 5 hours. O/n at Tea House Lodge
  • Day 11 : Drive back to Kathmandu
    After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu. Farewell dinner together with crew members. O/n at Hotel.
  • Day 12 : Departure
    Drop you in International Airport for your next destination.
