Panch Pokhari Trek
Panch Pokhari, literally meaning five lakes is one of the nine most famous glaciers of the world. Five small ponds group to form a beautiful lake at the altitude of 4060 m. A historic Palace, built 178 years ago by Ranabir Singh Thapa is also a monumental stop during the trek. Besides various cultural escapes of Tamang, Sherpa and Yalmo community will keep the trek lively. The route is aided by mountains. Dorje, Lakpa, GauriShankhar and many other mountains can be viewed closely. It’s a pilgrimage. Every year a festival is held around this lake along with five other lakes in the full moon day of August. This destination is also famous for rare herbs, shrubs and milk products.
