Pisang Peak Climbing

Pisang Peak climbing is the most popular among the trekking peak climbing in Nepal in Annapurna region. Pisang Peak, located on the way to world’s highest pass in Annapurna region. The German Expedition team made the first ascent of Pisang peak in 1955. Trekkers with little experience in climbing can combine the popular classic Annapurna circuit trek with Pisang Peak climbing to have the taste of climbing in the Himalayas in Nepal. Pisang peak rises with uniform ice slopes above the Pisang village and yak pastures. The final summit of the peak is observed covered by snow throughout the year. To reach the base camp from Pisang village, the path ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka at (4,380 m) which is considered the best place for setting up the base camp. High Camp is set up at (5,400 m) climbing to a shoulder on the South-West Ridge. Annapurna Circuit is a popular classic trek and generally cited as one of the most beautiful places of the world one should visit in a lifetime. The peak is considered one of the technical climbing peaks among the trekking peaks of Nepal.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,345 m)
    Our representative will greet you at International Airport and drive to the booked hotel. After freshen up, you will be guided to our corporate office for further procedure. If time allows us, we will guide around ancient market and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening you will invite for welcome dinner in our Restaurants. Overnight sleep at Hotel.
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu Excursion
    This day will be a busy day with sightseeing, which includes the old famous heritage sites listed in UNESCO such as Swoyambhunath Temple, Baudhantah Stupa, Pashupatinath Temple and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the late afternoon, briefing about the peak climbing Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 3 : Drive to Besisahar (830 m) by Bus-8hrs
    Early in the morning our journey begins by bus to Besisahar. During the road trip we see more of the countrysides of Nepal that offers spectucular landscapes, rivers, villages, farms and beautiful mountain scenic views. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 4 : Trek from Besisahar to Bahundanda (1310 m)
    Upon our breakfast our journey starts from Besisahar, to Bahnudanda climbing up via Khudi. Our upcoming route continuously traverses us through rice, potato and barley fields including stunning views of Hmalchuli and Nagdi Chuli. This night we stop at Bahundanda. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 5 : Trek from Bahundanda to Chyamje (1415 m)
    Today passing by Syange we cross the Marsyangadi River on a suspension bridge, we follow the local stone village named Jagat but before climbing it through the forest to Chyamje. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 6 : Trek from Chyamje to Bagarchaap (2160 m)
    Today day begins with the rocky route following Marsyangdi Rivers steadily uphill to Tal, a 1st village in Manang District. Trail goes up and down and crossing wide valley until we reach Dharapani. We should keep watching mesmerizing view of Lamjung Himal and Annapurna along the way. Tibetan influenced village appears gradually and have to stop at Baggarchap. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 7 : Trek from Bagarchap to Chame (2630 m)
    Today the trails lead us to Tyanja, then continuing through forest near to river Kopar. After reaching Chame, the headquarters of the Manang District, stunning glimpse of Annapurna II and Annapurna IV appears. Practice of Tibetan culture can be seen easily along the way. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 8 : Trek from Chame to Pisang (3300 m)
    Today day begins with narrow path through a deep forest and soon will bring us to the dramatic curved rock face rising from the river. As the route opens up we get surrounded by Himalayan Peaks. This day trek goes on until we climb up to Pisang. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 9 : Expolration day in Pisang
    Today is acclimatizating day in Pisang to make easy for next day trek. But we explore the local areas, catching the magical moment of surrounding.Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 10 : Trek from Pisang to Base Camp (4420 m)
    Today, we continue our journey from Pisang to Base camp which takes six hours and have to pass through Upper Pisang. After crossing the forest of pine, views of Annapurna appears. After reaching at Kharka we install the camp for a few days. Overnight at Tented Camp.
  • Day 11 : Trek from base camp to High camp (5450 m)
    Today we will walk for about 5-6 hours and put in our high camp at the elevation of 5400m after climbing to the southwest edge. We can taste the most amazing panoramic views of the Annapurna range, Chulu east, Chulu far east and Tijle Peak. Overnight at Tented Camp.
  • Day 12 : Exporation in High Camp
    Today we acclimatize at this elevation to maintain the temperature for the next day. We’ll just take a short trek as a warm up for tomorrows challenge. Overnight at Tented Camp.
  • Day 13 : Summit day and Return to Base Camp (6097 m)
    Today, we climb up to the summit at 6097m. Several Mountain can be seen easily including Ganesh, Manaslu, Tilchi Peak, Annapurna range, Chulu East, Tilje Peak, and Tibetan Mountains after an hour of exploration we descend back to the base camp. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 14 : Trek from Base Camp to Pisang (3300 m)
    Today, we back descend to Pisang village. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 15 : Trek from Pisang to Manang (3500 m)
    Today, we will go through the drier upper part of the Manang District. During the way we recommend climbing from the northern route via Geru. This day we will encounter with full of outstanding sceneries. We feel like we are horizontally in front of the majestic peaks. We experience a real adventure along the way playing with cold and dry climate. A short visit to the largest Monastery of Manang District named Barge Monastery and we move heading for the rest in the guesthouse. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 16 : From Manang to Yak Kharka (4000 m)
    Today trek continues from Manang, crossing a stream, climbs to a village of Tenki above Manang and the continues and leaving the Marshyangdi Valley. Further trail passes near the village Ghunsa, a cluster of flat mud roofs just below the trail head. Passing the Jarsang Khola Valley, we setped at Yak Kharka. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 17 : Trek from Yak Kharka to Thorng Phedi (4450 m)
    Today, we follow our trail until we reach Thorng Phedi by crossing the river. A trek of 3-4 hrs will head to Thorng Phedi. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 18 : Trek from Thorng Phedi to Mukti Nath via Thorng La Pass (5416 m)
    Today is a long and climax of Annapurna Circuit Trek. An early start is important to complete the trek because of strong winds which may affect the journey, particularly at the Thorng La Pass. Each moment we have to work hard today through the ice-high altitude trail. But amazing high Himalayan scenic beauty is such tempting that our eyes love to watch more over the horizon than on our trail. After continuing our trail we will be at Muktinath. Muktinath means place of Nirvana and is home to the Muktinath temple as well as several monasteries. Muktinath is an important pilgrimage spot for both Hindus and Buddhist. The Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has 108 waterspouts around it. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 19 : Trek from Muktinath to Jomsom (2715 m)
    Today is our last day of our trek and we descended gradually through Kali- Gandaki valley to Jomsom. It takes 5 hours to reach Jomsom from Muktinath. Jomsom is a headquarters of the Manag district. Overnight at guesthouse.
  • Day 20 : Morning flight to Pokhara
    We take flight in the morning time and it takes us to reach Pokhara in 30 minutes. After landing at Pokhara airport we drive back to hotel. After rest for hour our guide will take you for sightseeing around Pokhara which include, Devi’s fall, Fewa Lake, Tibetan Refugee settlement. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 21 : Exploration day at Pokhara
    Whole day we get closer of Pokhara city for exploration. Early in the morning driving towards Sangkot to view the sunrise in Himalaya, BindaBasini Temple, and World Peace Stupa after lunch free to walk around Lake Side. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 22 : Drive/Fly back to Kathmandu
    After having breakfast, we drive back to Kathmandu which takes 6hrs. If you were bound by time we suggest for a flight which takes 45 min. This day one can spend freely without any pre schedule. You have enough time to explore the local market, shopping Malls and you can buy souvenirs for friends and family. At evening our representative will pick up you from the hotel for fare well dinner in authentic Nepali restaurant, where we share our knowledge, experiences about the trips. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 23 : Drop you back at Airport for your next destination.
    Today, according to your flight schedule our representative will be at Tribhuvan International Airport, kathmandu (TIA) for see off.
