Rara Lake Tour
The jewel of Rara National Park, Rara Lake (2,990 m) is the largest lake in Nepal with a surface area of 10.2 km and is located in western Nepal. Surrounded by snow capped peaks, Rara Lake is famous for its natural beauty and wildlife, Rara is a treasure-trove of 1074 species including 214 species of birds making it a paradise for bird watchers.
Rara Lake and the national park are off the beaten trail, with less than 100 visitors per year. The remoteness and lack of infrastructure is a big deterrent to the prospective trekkers, but the unspoiled beauty of the Rara Lake and the national park is definitely worth it if you are looking for an adventurous trekking experience.
