Rolwaling Valley Trek

Rolwaling is a valley extending east-west just south of the Tibetan border below Mt. Gauri Shanker (7,145 m). It lies to the west of the Everest region. Rolwaling trekking trail is a challenging and rewarding trekking destination that’s why few tourists only step. Rolwaling trek offers a wonderful glimpse of Mt. Gaurishankhar, Rolwaling Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Yalung Ti and Pharchamo Peak. The Rolwaling area offers varied cultures with mixed up community village. Rolwaling valley naturally designed by several rare species of Flora and Fauna, including varieties of orchids and more than 250 species of Birds and rare wildlife. Ancient historical Monasteries and festivals, diverse culture and religion as well as diversity of natures are the major attraction of trips. Trips begin from Dolkha with challenging trail continuously.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival at Kathmandu, Nepal
    Arrival at Kathmandu Int Airfield. You will transfer to the hotel. After relaxing few hours, you will be taken to old street and Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the evening you will invited for a welcome dinner at our own restaurant. Overnight stay at Hotel.
  • Day 2 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing
    After breakfast at Hotel start to visit Kathmandu valley, this day you will be taken to Swayambhunath (monkey temple), and Boudhanath with our local guide. Afternoon meeting with trekking guide, check the trekking gears. Overnight stay at Hotel.
  • Day 3 : Drive to Shingati via Dolkha
    Drive from Kathmandu to Shingati Via Dolakha which takes about 8 and half hours. During your way you will cross several mixed community village, several streams and forest as well as varieties of other natural vegetation. Overnight at Shingati.
  • Day 4 : Trek to Jagat
    Today, the trek continues from Shigati to Jagat and it takes about seven hours. Trek goes on through a normal flat land along the side of the river. On the way several villages with mixed community, jungles with wild vegetation have to pass. Finally you will cross suspension Bridge to reach Jagat, a small town with mixed community people. Overnight at Jagat.
  • Day 5 : Trek to Simigaon
    Trek goes on from Jagat to Simigaon, The first part of your trails follow normally flat path, then it ascends and descends through the jungle. Several rivers, villages and their scenic view can be observed. Finally, after climbing up, Simigaon, a village inhabited by Buddhist and few Hindus. Overnight at Simigaoun
  • Day 6 : Trek to Gyalche
    This day you stop at Gyalche. This part get round this obstacle, from Simigaoun climb over the spur and enter the lower section of Rolwaling at half height. During the way dense forest, long path between Rhododendron bushes, crossed by streams, leads to Gyalche. Overnight at Gyalche.
  • Day 7 : Trek to Beding
    Impressive Gaurishankhar can be observed from height of Gyalche. You walk or cross babling streams, grass fields inhabited by Nimare, Ramding and Gyabrug Yersa which will leads to Beding, a main village in Rolwalling Valley. Overnight at Rolwaling.
  • Day 8 : Rest day at Beding
    Exploration and Rest day in Beding. Beding is a typical Sherpa village nestling between the river and the mountain.This day might be great day to take picture, relaz, walk around village, some interview with villagers. Overnight at Beding.
  • Day 9 : Trek to Na
    Short and easy walk goes continue to Na. Na, a summer pasture in a plain beneath towering Kang Nachugo (6735 m). Scenic view will appear from camping site of Chobutse (6689 m).
  • Day 10 : Rest in Na and explore around Yalung La
    Amazing and mesmerizing side of the valley offers fabulous panoramas towards the Ripimo Glacier, Gauri Shankar and some part of Tibet can be observed. Around Yalung La, you are free to explor youself.
  • Day 11 : From Na via Omai Tsho To Tsho Rolpa
    After crossing Na, Tsho Rolpa, a glacial lake appears. Tsho Rolpa lake formed by a natural dam of ice and glacial moraine. In recent days there is an international project constructing a run-off channel to protect the heritage of Rolwaling. Overnight at Tsho Rolpa.
  • Day 12 : Acclimatization at Tsho Rolpa
    This day is also exploration day to visit around atmosphere. Amazing view of Glacier lake, cool, breathtaking air, scenic view can be observed. Night at Tsho Rolpa in Camp.
  • Day 13 : Trek to Beding
    After having breakfast, return back from highly glacial lake same way back down with passing several small streams and ascents and descents through the village of Na. Overnight at Na.
  • Day 14 : Trek to Daldung- La
    After having breakfast, returning down towards Daldung La. Forested area, short glimpse of Gaurishankar can be visible. Finally Daldung La comes after ups and downs on the trek. Overnight at Daldung La.
  • Day 15 : Trek to Simigaon
    This day is also returning back from Daldung To Simigaon by crossing several passes, hills, forest and village. Overnight at Simigaon.
  • Day 16 : Trek to Jagat
    After having breakfast, you will start trekking from Simigaon towards Jagat. Overnight at Jagat.
  • Day 17 : Trek to Shingati
    After breakfast, leaving the campsite and continue our trek with passing the scenic terraced fields and through the forest until reaching Shingati. Overnight at Shingati.
  • Day 18 : Drive back to Kathmandu
    After breakfast from Shingati you drive back to Kathmandu watching scenic view. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
  • Day 19 : Free day in Kathmandu
    This day is your free day. If you wish to go for a tour, our guide will assist you. You are free to buy gifts and souvenirs for your friends and relatives. Overnight Farewell Dinner will organize and last Sleep at the Himalayan Kingdom, Nepal.
  • Day 20 : Departure
    Our representative you will drop you at the International airport for your next destination.
