Shamanism Introductory Course

Nepal is a wonderland of multi ethnic groups, multi religion and mixed up tradition practices with own social customs and value. Nepalese culture today was germinated and developed from the 1st century or earlier. From the same time Hinduism got a huge spaces and widely practices around the territory of Nepal whereas Buddhism influenced from Tibet. Among different religions and traditions, Shamanism has always been a subject of interest in the whole world. Shamanism itself is not a religion; it’s just a practices or ritual activities done by a special tribes from the country to heal the human/animal bodies. In a simple word shamanism is a method to heal or cure the body in the natural order with harming any natural body’s against bad spirits or devil’s. Real shamans are those who thought nature and the surroundings are god.
In this era of technology words of Shamans might be unbelievable but we believe sprit exists in this world with us. It is a healing method, a gateway to the spirit world and integral part of the daily life. People who practice shamanism is trying to reach the altered states of consciousness and they interact with the beings in the Spirit world, which is a superstition for many in the normal world. The practitioner of shamanism is believed to have access to, and influence in the world of benevolent and malevolent spirits. Ancient healing traditions of shamanism are still practiced in the Himalayan Mountains of Nepal, Bhutan, and northern India, where access to the hospital is very much difficult. The ancient experiences of shamanism, believed to date back more than 50,000 years, is today being exercised primarily only by elders and is already in the process of dying out.
The shamanic world has three main stages, the Upper world; where the Sun, Moon, Stars, Planets, Deities and Spirits important to the shaman’s healing job. The middle world of normal human life were also dwell many kinds of spirits, both harmful and useful and the Lower World; with its powerful Deities and Spirits. The real Shaman must know the names and energy of all these beings for use in healing work. The myth and stories surrounding the shaman’s work offers an important idea to the visitors for accessing the Shaman’s power. After knowing the real world and cosmology of Shamans, heal the human/animal body through various techniques;

IN the period of healing ancient musical instrument is in practices such as drums, special types of clothing set is needed to wear, to deal with spirits. As a part of the introductory program, our shamans will demonstrate actual healing techniques. Healing ceremonies, of course participants and others are available by special arrangement. We designed this itinerary to show the real historical healing methods who has been in a deep curiosity. A week long itinerary, which provide cultural and natural tour of city including shamanism introductory course.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arriving in Kathmandu International Airport
    Upon arrival at Kathmandu International Airfield, our office representative will assist you further and drive back to booked hotel. After refreshment our staff will guide and take for a short visit at the office for further paper works. If times allow us, our guide will assistance for a short walk around old market and Kathmandu Durbar square through our local guide. At evening we arranged the interaction program at our Restaurant and offer welcome dinner. Overnight at Hotel. Day 02:
  • Day 2 : Excursion around Kathmandu
    The 2nd day of Nepal visit, we pick up from hotel and drive to Sowyambhunath temple, Baudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple. Overnight at the Hotel.

  • Day 6 : Fly to Pokhara
    Early in the morning we take a mountain flight to catch up the mesmerizing view of several Himalayan Ranges. After exploring the beauty of sunrise we fly to Pokhara. Pokhara is one of the famous beautiful city lines in the east of Phewa Lake. Most of the local and foreigners visit the Place in search of peace and beauty. We check in hotel and we walk around Lake Side. Phewa Lake is one of the biggest lakes in the center of Pokhara city. Visiting Island temple (Taal Barahi), in the middle of Lake by boating can be done. In Pokhara, we visit Davis Falls, Sangkot Hill and Tibetan refugee camp. One can taste the tourists sides “lake side” with western live music and restaurant for evening time. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 7 : Fly back to Kathmandu
    Early in the morning we visit most popular shrines of Pokahara named Bindabasini. After having breakfast we take our flight to Kathmandu. In the afternoon we drive to Bahaktapur Durbar Square and drive to Nagarkot Hill. After some refreshment we drive to Nagarkot hill tower to view the sunset over snow capped mountain. The place is famous for all people to catch the glorious moments of several Himalayas. Drive back to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 8 : Final Departure
    Acoording to your flight schedule our office representative will drop you at international airport for next destination.
