Yala Peak Climbing

Langtang valley is one the popular trekking region after Everest and Annapurna region, which included diverse culture with home of ethnic groups. Yala peak is associated with Langtang valley and considered as a one of the easiest climbing Peaks in Nepal. Yala peak lies north of Kathmandu valley with a distance of 19 miles and having elevations of 5732 meters. Langtang valley treks offer all the Last options for adventure and easiest including the opportunity to glimpse of several Himalayas. Due to the closest border of  Tibet, valley reflects the traditional Tibetan culture amazingly. Previous outdoor experience and normal level of fitness is highly required and recommended for Yala Peak climbing. Journey begins from Kathmandu by driving, it takes 7 hrs to reach Syabru Besi and the trail lead towards Kyanging Gompa. After Kyanging Gompa, taking the north and continuing the trail lead to Yala Peak. Along the way Forest of Rhododendron, smell of rare herbs, old cheese factory, Buddhist Monasteries and view of amazing Himalaya never leave us alone and this is the most attractive part of the trek. Yala Peak offers fantastic views of the Himalaya and spectacular landscapes.

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day 1 : Arrival in Kathmandu
    Our company representative will assist you and drive to the hotel. After relaxing few hours our guide will pick up you for a short walk and you will reach at Kathmandu Durbar Square. After a short walk of Square, we will take you for welcome dinner in our own restaurant. Overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 2 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu valley
    After breakfast at Hotel start to visit Kathmandu valley, this day you will be taken to Swayambhunath (monkey temple), and Boudhanath with our local guide. Afternoon meeting with trekking guide, check the trekking gears. overnight at Hotel.
  • Day 3 : Drive from Kathmandu to Syaprubesi
    Drive to Dhunche from Kathmandu time takes about 8 hours. From Kathmandu up to Trisuli Bazaar we can view the greeneries, amazing landscapes and several villages including glimpse of Ganesh Himal. Overnight at guest house.
  • Day 4 : Trek from Syaprubesi to Lama Hotel (2500 m)
    We, descend down the ridge past fields, houses and through a forest reaches Ghopche stream. After crossing a bridge mountain trail leads to ridge snout. Descend steep a forest slope to the Langtang river, then enters a forest again gradually ascends the path to altitude. After climbing a steep and here comes Lama Hotel (2380m). During our trail, we view red pandas, monkey and bear if we are lucky. Overnight at guest house.
  • Day 5 : Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang valley (3307m)
    After leaving Lama Hotel, we climb up through a Rhododendron, Oak forest and the ground covered by moss like a semi tropical Jungle. After hiking up there as occasional views of Langtang Lirung between the trees. The route to go up from Ghora Tabela (3000m) climbing up gently and the valley widens, passing a few temporary settlements their livestock to graze in the high pastures during summer. There we encounter with monasteries, before arriving at the village of Langtang. Walking of 5hours, we settle down and exploring the village. Overnight at lodge.
  • Day 6 : Trek from Langtang to Khayanjing Gompa (3800m)
    The trail crosses through the stone built village, yak pastures as the valley opens out further and the views become more extensive. Passing several streams and moraines, the trail reaches the settlement at Kyanjing. A Monastery and government operated cheese factory. Snow-covered peaks surrounding you in all directions, such as Langtang Lirung, Ganjala peak, Tserko- Ri, Langsisa Ri and many others can be visibly nearby you. Walking time takes about 4 hours. O/n at Tea House Lodge.
  • Day 7 : Exploration day in Khayanjing Gompa
    Khayanjing Gompa is the last permanent settlement with a small Gompa and a cheese factory. Use it as a base for day hikes, exploring the upper valley to try climbing the small hill north of Khayanjing or Tsergori (5033m). Which lies upvalley from Khayanjing. Upper valley is ringed by spectacular snow peaks, including fluted peak Langtang Lirung and the Tibetan named Dorje Lakpa.
  • Day 8 : Trek to Yala peak Base camp (4400meters) 6 hours
    Today, we follow the trails for Yala Peak Base Camp. We have to pass rocky glacier trail along the way. Amazing views of Ganchenpo, Naya kang, Tserko Ri, Yala Peak and many others can be seen upon our trek. We install camp at the base camp. Overnight at tented camp.
  • Day 9 : Summit Yala Peak (5732 meters) and back to Kyangjin Gompa
    Today is Summit day, an early in the morning climbing up to Yala Peak. As we reach the summit of this Peak, you will be rewarded with magnificent scenery stretching far into neighboring Tibet. After an hour’s spending in Peak descend to Kyanjing Gompa. Overnight at Lodge.
  • Day 10 : Spare day in case of bad weather to climb Yala Peak
    This is the spare day for climb just in case of bad weather. Overnight at tented Camp.
  • Day 11 : Trek back to Lama Hotel (2500meters) 5.30 hours
    We join the path we used to ascend to return Lama Hotel, taking in the serenity of the langtang Valley. Overnight at Lodge.
  • Day 12 : Trek to Sybru Bensi (1462meters) 5 hours
    We descend further our way and leave the mountains behind us our descent takes us to the Syabru Besi. Overnight at Lodge
  • Day 13 : Drive back to Kathmandu by Local bus 8 hours
    After having Breakfast, we drive to Kathmandu from Syabru Besi. Overnight at hotel.
  • Day 14 : Free day/ Excursion around Kathmandu
    Today, you will have a free day to do shopping around the market or you can rest whole day. It’s up to you how you want to pass the day. But if you wish to visit around and need our assistance we are always ready for it. In the evening, we are going to make this tour remarkable by knowing your experience about Nepal and dinner together at our own restaurant. Overnight stay at Hotel.
  • Day 15 : Final Departure
    Today, according to your flight schedule our representative will drop you at the international airport for your next destination.
